WSOC | Early Dominating Offense Can't Break Through

HONOLULU — The Saint Mary’s women’s soccer team dominated the offensive action in the first half Friday night and held defensively for most of the night, but the Gaels could not find the back of the net as they fell 1-0 to Hawai’i at Waipi’o Peninsula Soccer Stadium.

Saint Mary’s (0-5) outshot Hawai’i 8-2 in the first half alone and was leading shots 10-3 early in the second half. Hannah Diaz, Samantha Dion and Morgan Darling all had at least three shots each with at least one on goal. The Gaels also held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks, four coming in the first half alone.
