DAVIS, Calif. — The Saint Mary's women's soccer team executed its chances and played sound defense in its 1-0 victory over UC Davis Saturday afternoon at Aggies Soccer Stadium.
The Gaels now enter their West Coast Conference schedule with an overall record, 4-6. UC Davis drops its ninth game of the year and enters Big West action with an overall record, 1-9.
Saint Mary's displayed great control and set the tempo in the first half. The Gaels had two shots on goal in the opening 45 minutes. The defense made it difficult for UC Davis to find any offensive opportunities, as the Gaels allowed just one shot.
