MORAGA, Calif. — The Saint Mary’s women’s soccer team brings a bevy of scoring prowess and ball-handling skills to its front field in 2016, as a talented and diverse group of forwards and midfielders will help put goals in the net and points on the box score.
A total of 15 players will play either forward or midfielder for the Gaels in 2016, ensuring deep depth on the attack. A perfect blend of youth and veteran experience dots both the forward line and the midfield with seven freshmen and four seniors in the group.
“Last year I don’t think we were that deep,” said Saint Mary’s head coach Travis Clarke.
