MORAGA, Calif. - A phenomenal run by Saint Mary's Women's Basketball sharpshooter Taycee Wedin at the Women's Basketball Invitational earned her the tournament MVP and the Bay Alarm Student Athlete of the week.
Wedin scored 25 points in the WBI Championship for her 11th game of 20 or more points this season, averaged 22.7 points per game in the three tournament games, and shot an amazing 60% (18 of 30) from three-point range. The Milwaukie, Ore. native was 7 of 15 on threes in the championship, which broke her own SMC and WCC single season record of 104 to finish with 106 threes on the season.
