MORAGA, Calif. – Carly Turner of the Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team has been named the SMC Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week.
Turner was a key member leading a balanced attack to a pair of West Coast Conference victories this weekend. In the win over Loyola Marymount, Turner scored 13 points with eight rebounds in just 22 minutes of action. In the win over Pepperdine, Turner added 14 points and three assists in 21 minutes.
With a starter out, Turner turned in season-highs in minutes played and scored in double-figures in each game, something she had not done this season.
