PULLMAN, Wash. — Three Saint Mary’s women’s basketball players scored in double figures Sunday, but turnovers caused the Gaels problems as host Washington State beat SMC 85-69 in a non-conference game at Beasley Coliseum.
Devyn Galland led all scorers with 18 points. She went 4 for 5 shooting 3-pointers after going 1 for 6 Friday in the Gaels’ (0-2) season opener. The Gaels shot 42.9 percent from downtown and held Washington State (2-0) to 27.3 percent after they made 13 treys in their season opener. Stella Beck scored 17 points and Megan McKay had Saint Mary’s first double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
