STOCKTON, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team got a pair of double-doubles as the short-handed Gaels defeated Pacific 82-73 on Saturday afternoon at the A.G. Spanos Center in Stockton.
With Stella Beck and Sydney Raggio both sidelined, the Gaels were led by Devon Brookshire (22 points, 16 rebounds) and Lauren Nicholson (22 points, 10 rebounds).
With the victory, Saint Mary’s improves to 14-4, 5-2 West Coast Conference, while Pacific drops to 9-9, 2-5 WCC. The Gaels pull within a game of first-place with one weekend of the first-half of conference play remaining.
While the SMC duo combined for 44 points and 26 rebounds, the Gaels got several other contributions.
