MORAGA, Calif. – Devyn Galland of the Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team has been named this week’s SMC Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week. In the Gaels win over Washington State, the junior guard scored a season-high 15 points in helping the Gaels claim victory.
Galland hit a career-high five three-pointers going 5-for-7 from behind the arc and scored her 15 points in just 25 minutes of action.
It was the Gaels second win over a Pac-12 squad this season as Saint Mary’s improved to 8-2 with the win over the Cougars.
Saint Mary’s enters the week with an RPI of 54 with key victories over California, Villanova and now Washington State.
