MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team continued its success against Loyola Marymount with a 72-57 victory on Thursday night in McKeon Pavilion.
With the win, Saint Mary’s improves to 12-4, 3-2 West Coast Conference, while LMU drops to 7-9, 2-2 WCC. The Gaels built an 18-point lead in the second quarter and overcame a tough third quarter to pull away from the Lions.
Lauren Nicholson led the Gaels with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Devon Brookshire added 14 points and eight rebounds while Carly Turner finished with 13 points and eight rebounds off the bench.
