MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team was firing on all cylinders in a 95-53 win over Portland on Saturday afternoon in McKeon Pavilion. The 42-point margin of victory is the largest since the turn of the century for Saint Mary’s and eighth largest of all-time.
With the win, Saint Mary’s improves to 21-6, 12-4 West Coast Conference with just one week of WCC action to play.
Saint Mary’s shot 54 percent for the game and 56 percent from three-point range as SMC hit 14-of-25 from behind the arc. Six Gaels reached double-figures in scoring led by Hannah Kaser, Devyn Galland and Devon Brookshire with 14 apiece.
