LAS VEGAS, Nev. – If the Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team is going to play for a West Coast Conference championship, the Gaels will need to play an all-around game to get past San Francisco in a WCC semifinal match-up on Monday.
The Gaels and Dons will tip at 2 p.m. in the Orleans Arena, 30 minutes after the completion of semifinal No. 1 on Monday, BYU and Santa Clara.
Saint Mary’s is 20-3 against San Francisco since 2005. The Gaels won both meetings this year winning at USF 78-68 and at SMC 72-57.
In the two wins over the Dons, four Gaels are averaging double-figures as Devon Brookshire leads the way at 15.
