MORAGA, Calif. – Devon Brookshire of the Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team has been named the SMC Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week.
Brookshire nearly set two career-highs with a double-double on the road at Pacific. Brookshire came within one point of her career-high with 22 points, adding a career-high 16 rebounds in the Gaels 82-73 win at Pacific on Saturday.
With three starters sidelined, Brookshire stepped up going well over her season averages of 12 points and five rebounds. Brookshire finished the game playing 35 minutes, shooting 7-for-19 from the field and 8-for-10 from the charity stripe.
