LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team responded to a tough loss in a big way with a 91-81 victory at Loyola Marymount on Saturday afternoon. Six Gaels scored in double-figures, led by Stella Beck shattering her previous career-high with 27 points on 10-for-11 from the field.
With the win, Saint Mary’s remains in striking distance of the No. 2 seed as the Gaels improve to 19-6, 10-4 WCC. BYU is in first-place at 14-1, followed by a logjam of San Diego at 11-4, SMC 10-4 and Santa Clara at 10-4.
