TEMPE, Ariz. — Saint Mary's (0-3) battled back in the second half and outscored Arizona State (3-0) in the final 20 minutes but came up short with a final score of 62-53.

Taycee Wedin and Madeline Holland paced the offense with 14 points each. The duo combined to shoot 10-of-16 from the floor and 4-of-6 from 3-point land. Amy West added nine points and grabbed five rebounds.
The Gaels shot the ball exceptionally well in the game, 52 percent overall, but were victimized by 23 turnovers that led to 25 Arizona State points.
