MORAGA, Calif. – Saint Mary's Women's Basketball couldn't get shots to fall against the Portland Pilots in a 64-41 loss on Thursday night.
The Gaels scored first on a basket right off the jump ball, but it would be SMC's only lead of the night.
Saint Mary's trailed by seven halfway through the first, but the Gaels went on a run and cut it to one on an layup with 3:29 to go in the first. But Portland would finish the quarter up by eight and extend their lead to 36-17 at the half.
The Pilots kept a 20-plus point lead the rest of the way, keeping the Gaels to 32.
