PROVO, Utah – The Saint Mary's Women's Basketball Team struggled out of the gate against No. 18 BYU in a 78 -36 loss on the road. The Gaels are now 7-6 on the season and 1-1 in WCC play.
TOUGH START
The Gaels committed three turnovers on their first three possessions on the way to nine turnovers in the first quarter. The Cougars would finish the first on a 14-0 run in last six-plus minutes, as the Gaels made just two field goals in the opening frame.
Saint Mary's has shot the ball well overall and won the rebounding battle most nights so far this season, but had trouble with both on Thursday night.
