STOCKTON, Calif. — The serve played a big part Saturday as momentum swings centered around both teams getting the ball over the net, with Pacific taking the advantage in a 3-0 (25-12, 25-21, 25-16) West Coast Conference sweep over the Saint Mary’s volleyball team at Alex G. Spanos Center.
The Gaels (8-11, 3-5 WCC) committed 14 service errors Saturday, while Pacific (11-9, 5-3 WCC) committed 10. Pacific also had two service aces. Saint Mary’s had 61 successful serve receives while Pacific had 37.
UOP jumped out to a 10-5 lead in the first set by outhitting Saint Mary’s .
