MORAGA, Calif. — Swift and fast was the attack of the Saint Mary’s volleyball team Thursday, as the Gaels swept West Coast Conference rival San Francisco, 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-17) for the second time this season at McKeon Pavilion.
Saint Mary’s (9-11, 4-5 WCC) hit .345 as a team with four players hitting .375 or better. The Gaels tallied seven service aces, including one from Emily Bible on the match’s final point. SMC held the Dons (4-18, 0-9 WCC) to just .097 hitting with 17 attack errors. It was the fifth time in the teams’ last eight matches at McKeon Pavilion that the Gaels swept the Dons (since 2009).
