MORAGA, Calif. — More championship pedigree and deep positional talent highlight the Saint Mary’s volleyball team’s spring signings, as head coach Rob Browning announced the addition of Aubrey Pitts of Reno, Nev., and Lauren Solis of Turlock, for 2016-17.
Pitts, a middle blocker from McQueen High School in Reno, and Solis, a defensive specialist from Pitman High School in Turlock, combine to bring seven individual player awards and five playoff appearances to the Gaels from their high school careers. Both played at the highest level of competition – Division I – in their respective states of Nevada and California, and now join the Gaels who return all seven starters from a year ago to compete in the West Coast Conference, which sent four teams to the NCAA Tournament last fall.
