MORAGA, Calif. — This year’s group of Saint Mary’s volleyball middle blockers look to turn back all opponents this season, and are poised to do so with a mix of veterans and newcomers that will energize the first line of defense for the Gaels.
Four primary middle blockers anchor the net, with two newcomers and two returners. Fourth-year junior Alexis Salmons returns as the most experienced and accomplished of the quartet. She was named to the all-West Coast Conference Freshmen Team in 2014 and was second on the team a year ago with 82 total blocks.
