FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- A night after playing strong with a full team effort, the Saint Mary's volleyball team ran into its first challenge of the year, falling at No. 25 Colorado State 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-18) Saturday at Moby Arena.
Saint Mary's (1-1) pushed the Rams (2-0) in each set, staying within four points until late, but each time CSU would pull away. In sets one and two, the Gqaels were within four points at 22-18, but the Rams closed it out both times for 25-20 wins. CSU led 23-16 in the third set before finally closing it out at 25-18.
