MORAGA, Calif. — For the second week in a row, a Women's Basketball Player outshined the rest of the student-athletes at Saint Mary's. Brianna Simonich takes home the Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of the Week honors for her efforts in helping the Gaels take down Nevada in their home opener last Monday.
Simonich was one of the many stars of Saint Mary's 83-68 win over Nevada on December 21. Simonich put up a season-best in points with 10, and added her fifth 10+ rebounding performance of the year, grabbing 12 boards. Her 10 and 12 performance gave her the first collegiate double-double of her career, and the third of the season overall posted by the Gaels.
