HONOLULU — Saint Mary's Softball wrapped up play at the 2023 Hawaii Paradise Classic with a tall task in front of them. They had to take on a Hawaii team that had just beaten them 16-2 the night before, and they were 0-2 against Hawaii in the first two days of the event. All of that considered, it didn't faze the Gaels, who came out and shut down the Rainbow Wahine to win 5-1 and head back to California with a 2-3 record through the first five games of the season.
ANOTHER GOOD START
In the last few games, the Gaels have set the tone early by taking the first lead, and that was again the case on Sunday.
