MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s softball team came up short in a pitchers’ duel against Seattle by a 1-0 score on Friday afternoon at Cottrell Field.
A leadoff home run by Seattle’s Maddy Kristjanson was all it took in the top of the seventh inning for the game’s only run.
Katie Moss was strong in defeat for SMC, tossing a complete-game 7.0 innings, allowing just four hits and one run. She walked none and struck out six.
Seattle’s Andie Larkins was the winner, going five innings and allowing two walks and two strikeouts.
