SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Saint Mary's played in two close games on Friday but were ultimately edged in both to move to 0-4 on the season. Julia McCormack went 4-6 on the day and had three runs batted in.
Game 1 Julia McCormack set the tone early in the contest for the Gaels as she nailed a homer to left center to bring home Indya Smith from second and give SMC a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning. California Baptist would respond with two runs of their own off a two RBI single in the bottom of the first to tie up the game.
