MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's rising junior Jayda Alaan will be competing with the Philippines national team this summer after successfully making the team out of a tryout earlier this month.
Alaan, who was born in the Philippines, will be competing at the USA World Cup during the first week of July and later at the Asia/Oceania Olympic Qualifying Event in China during September.
"We are so excited that Jayda has this opportunity to represent the Philippines and Saint Mary's," said Gaels' head coach Sonja Garnett. "We can't wait to watch her do great things with her team.
