MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Mike Matoso has announced the signing of head softball coach Sonja Garnett to a multi-year contract extension through the 2025 season.
Garnett is coming off a solid third year at the helm in 2021, which the team recorded their highest winning percentage since 2017. Six Gaels found themselves on the All-WCC team come the end of the season, the most in program history since the WCC began sponsoring softball in 2014
"Sonja has had a positive impact on the program and student-athlete experience since the first day she stepped on campus," Matoso said.
