SB | Gaels Rack Up Runs in 9-4 Win Over Nevada

RENO, Nev. — Saint Mary’s (10-12) salvaged a win in the final day of the Nevada Classic with an offensive outburst as they defeated the Nevada Wolf Pack, 9-4.

Despite dropping their first three games of the tournament, an undeterred Gaels’ lineup scored a season-high nine runs against a strong Nevada (14-10) team. Saint Mary’s managed 10 hits and four walks in the victory.

On offense, Hailey Sparacino, Dylan Linton, and Abbey Mariani all recorded two-RBI singles scattered throughout the final three innings. Mariani’s single in the fifth inning capped off a four-run frame for the Gaels and proved to be the difference maker in the game as SMC took a 5-4 lead from her base hit.
