SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s softball team had two players named to the West Coast Conference Preseason All-Conference Team, it was announced by the conference office. Loralie Fitzpatrick and Katie Moss are expected to lead the Gaels as SMC aims to capture the conference title.
Fitzpatrick is one of eight seniors on the Gaels, returning as the defending WCC Defensive MVP. Last year Fitzpatrick hit .404 during conference, including eight extra base hits in the 15 conference games. For the season, she hit .301 with nine home runs and a team-high 89 total bases.
