LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Saint Mary’s softball team put together a wild seventh inning rally to come back from four runs down but Drake came back for the game-winning walkoff.
Key two-out hits by Erica Musgrave and Bailey Lotz pushed across the tying runs in the Gaels final at-bat to tie the game up at 10-10. Drake responded with a walk-off double in the bottom half as the Bulldog runner crossed the plate just ahead of the tag.
In the first inning against Drake, Monika Reichhardt doubled to the left center gap to get things started.
