MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s softball team came up short in its rally against Weber State on Sunday afternoon, wrapping up action at the San Diego Tournament in Santee.
The Gaels had a game-high 10 hits, but could not get the potential tying run home in the sixth or seventh innings.
Shannon Low finished the day going 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Monika Reichhardt went 2-for-4 with a double, home run and an RBI. Lollie Fitzpatrick and Dylan Linton each had two hits apiece.
Saint Mary’s struck first as Low had a two-RBI single in the second inning, scoring Erica Musgrave and Fitzpatrick.
