SANTEE, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s softball team dropped a pair of games on Saturday at the San Diego Tournament, games that were much closer than the final scores indicated.

In the first game of the day against Colorado State, the Gaels gave up a pair of unearned runs in the fourth inning to trail 2-0. Andrea Hazel hit a solo home run to come within 2-1, but CSU added a pair of runs in the seventh to extend the lead to 4-1.

Moss pitched well in defeat, going the complete game with nine strikeouts and only two earned runs.
