MORAGA, Calif. — After dropping the first game by a single run, Saint Mary’s (15-20, 1-1 WCC) used a clutch moment in the second game to claim a come from behind 2-1 win, and split the day’s action versus Bay Area rival Santa Clara (9-24, 1-1 WCC).
The top of the Gaels lineup did major damage in both games with the likes of Nikki Alexander, Hailey Sparacino and Dylan Linton.
Alexander and Sparacino led the base running efforts for SMC, each scoring four runs on the day. Leading off the lineup, Alexander also brought in a RBI in the second game.
