MORAGA -- Saint Mary's held off cold-shooting Georgia on Sunday for a 77-65 victory and advanced to the third round of the NIT.
The Bulldogs (20-14) shot only 29.4 percent from the field in the first half and 37.9 percent for the game. Saint Mary's (29-5) made half of its floor shots for the game (29 of 58).Emmett Neer led four Gaels in double figures with 15 points. Evan Fitzner and Joe Rahon each scored 13 points, and Dane Pineau added 12.Charles Mann and J.J. Frazier each scored 13 points to lead Georgia.
