Lauren Nicholson just played her last regular season home game. That did not stop the senior from adding to her ever-growing legacy here at Saint Mary’s. With 24 points against Loyola Marymount Friday night in Las Vegas, Nicholson made sure the Gaels were well on there way to the semifinals of the WCC tournament.
The road was not easy, as the Gaels were clinging onto a one-point lead going into half, 33-32. Both team shot rather poorly in the first half. Saint Mary’s shot 31.6 percent from the field and the Lions barely beat that mark going 32.
