MORAGA, Calif. -- Jock Landale set career highs with 37 points and 18 rebounds on Monday night and Saint Mary's beat Sacramento State 70-54 for the Gaels' second straight win.
Landale had 24 points and 12 rebounds and made 11 of 14 shots in the first half while Saint Mary's (7-2) built a 32-19 lead. The Gaels held the Hornets to 7-of-25 (28 percent) shooting and had a 25-11 edge on the glass in the period. Landale finished the game 14 of 20 from the field and 9 of 10 from the foul line.
Calvin Hermanson made a pair of 3s for Saint Mary's, passing Frank Allocco (197) for third in program history.
