LAKE NATOMA, Calif. – The Gaels took to the water on Saturday at the WCC Championship as junior Kelsey Shinn and sophomore Emily Sprigings from the Varsity Eight boat both earned spots on the All-Conference team.
The Gaels secured fifth place and a total of 17 points in the Championship standings just behind the Portland Pilots and ahead of Creighton. The second Varsity Four boat kicked off the competition as they raced a time of 8:17.73 for fifth place and came in only nine seconds behind Gonzaga. Next up, the Varsity Four boat recorded a sixth place finish (8:25.
