SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s rowing team is expected to finish third, according to the 2016 preseason West Coast Conference poll, it was announced on Wednesday afternoon by the conference office.
Beatrice McGinnis and Brianna Pero of the Gaels were named to the All-WCC Preseason Rowing Team. The preseason poll and All-WCC Team are voted on by all seven of the league’s head coaches.
Gonzaga was picked as the WCC favorite with 36 points and six first-place votes. San Diego was picked second with 31 points and one first-place vote. The Gaels and Loyola Marymount tied for third with 23 points apiece.
