MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s rowing team heads to Rancho Cordova this week to take on Alabama and San Diego State. The Gaels will be using the race in preparation for the upcoming San Diego Crew Classic on April 2-3 at Mission Bay.
Last year the Gaels did not take part in a race between the Sacramento Invitational and the San Diego Crew Classic.
Last week at the Sacramento Invitational, the day was headlined by the Gaels getting second place finishes in both the varsity eight and second varsity eight races.
In the varsity eight, the Gaels finished eight seconds behind the Hornets, but six seconds ahead of OCC.
