RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — The Saint Mary's rowing team opened their spring season on Saturday at the Sacramento Invitational posting strong times and concluding the day with three top-three finishes.
The Gaels finished strong in the Varsity Eights taking third place in six minutes and 47.7 seconds in the first race and second in 6:59.9 in the second race. SMC beat out University of California San Diego and Mills College in the first race and West Coast Conference rival Portland in the second race. Both of Sacramento State's boats took first place in the Varsity Eights.
