RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s rowing team looked strong with a pair of second place finishes at the Sacramento Invitational on Saturday.
The day was headlined by the Gaels getting second place finishes in both the varsity eight and second varsity eight races.
In the varsity eight, the Gaels finished eight seconds behind the Hornets, but six seconds ahead of OCC. SMC was second of a total of six boats in the race. In the second varsity eight, the Gaels finished 11 seconds behind Sac. St. and eight seconds ahead of UC San Diego.
