Devon Brookshire and Lauren Nicholson scored 22 points each, Devyn Galland scored another 15, and the Gaels’ women’s basketball team (14-4, 5-2 WCC) continued their momentum with a Saturday matinee win over host Pacific, 82-73. Along with their 22 points, Nicholson and Brookshire both recorded double-doubles.
Saint Mary’s led for the majority of the afternoon, with Pacific taking its only lead at the 9:42 mark of the opening quarter. The Tigers outshot the Gaels throughout all four quarters, but Saint Mary’s made up for it, going 30-35 from the free throw line and maintaining a respectable rebounding edge.
