NHL Season Update

We are two-thirds of the way through the NHL season, and the Washington Capitals are still red hot. They have the best defense in the league (No. 1 in goals against per game, with 2.32) and the best offense in the league (No. 1 in goals per game, with 3.33). If they maintain consistency through the rest of the season, they could potentially win the Presidents’ Trophy and make a remarkable playoff run to win Lord Stanley’s’ Cup.

The Florida Panthers have surprised many hockey fans this year. With veteran goaltender Roberto Luongo, a young squad (defenseman Aaron Ekblad, forward Nick Bjustad, forward Jonathan Huberdeau, and forward Aleksander Barkov), the veteran leadership of hockey legend forward Jaromir Jagr, and arguably one of the best defenses in the league, the Panthers have played well this season.
