RENO, Nev. — Saint Mary’s men’s tennis (5-8) concluded its non-conference schedule with a tough fight at Nevada which saw five of six single contests go to a third set. The Gaels unfortunately fell to the Wolf Pack, 5-2.
The Wolf Pack claimed the doubles point with a sweep over SMC.
Singles competition proved to be extremely tight, as the Gaels went toe-to-toe with Nevada. Newcomer Damon Kesaris improves to 6-3 in singles competition, and an impressive 3-0 in the No. 1 spot. Kesaris prevailed in a tight three-setter, 6-1, 6-7, 6-4.
Senior Matthew Campana played solid and smart tennis in the third spot for SMC to clinch the other Gaels win of the day.
