SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Damon Kesaris and Matis Bot were named West Coast Conference Doubles Team of the Week after going 2-0 against Portland and Gonzaga last week.
On Friday versus the Pilots, the Gaels' No. 2 duo defeated Nicklas Oberg and Tom Hann 6-3 to help Saint Mary's secure the doubles point and eventually win the match, 4-3. Against Gonzaga, Kesaris and Bot grinded out a 7-5 win over Kyle Everly and Matthew Perkins to help SMC clinch the doubles point.
Tuesday's recognition was the first time Saint Mary's have been represented on the singles or doubles Player of the Week list this season.
