MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s men’s tennis team defeated Holy Names 6-1 to open the 2016 spring season on Monday afternoon.
"It was a very good first match,” said head coach Greg Kennett. “I liked the intensity that the guys came out in doubles, we have a couple of new teams and they seemed to adjust and play well. I thought Alex Hunt, our senior leader, played focused and determined the entire match. I'm hoping he can continue this, he will have a great spring."
The Gaels got the afternoon started off right earning the doubles point.
