MORAGA, Calif. — The Saint Mary’s men’s tennis team got off to a strong start, but a comeback from San Francisco (7-12, 2-3 WCC) gave the Gaels a tough, 4-2 loss at Timothy Korth Tennis Complex.
After today’s loss, the Gaels now hold an overall record, 6-11, and 1-4 in West Coast Conference action.
Damon Kesaris won his ninth straight in dual competition, and improved to a perfect 6-0 as the top singles player for the Gaels. The newcomer stifled Mert Zincirli of USF, 6-2, 6-4.
SMC claimed the important doubles point with wins on courts 1 and 3.
