STANFORD, Calif. — The Saint Mary’s men’s tennis team went toe-to-toe with nationally ranked No. 20 Stanford Sunday afternoon, but eventually fell to the Cardinal at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

The Gaels (3-2) battled hard in the day’s double action, but dropped decisions on all three courts. On the first court, newcomer Damon Kesaris and veteran Nash Vollenweider paired together for a true battle against the Cardinal (5-1) top pairing. After long rallies and back-and-forth action, the Gaels dropped the 6-3 decision.

Matis Bot and Manuel De Luis Lamelas also came out strong as the No.
