SACRAMENTO — The Saint Mary’s men’s tennis team (3-7) faced off against New Mexico State on the second day of the Golden State Invitational, and fell to the Aggies, 4-1, in a tight contest.
The day got started with high energy as Damon Kesaris and Nash Vollenweider took the win on court 1 of doubles action. The win is the fourth of the dual season for the duo.
After dropping the decision on court 2, the Gaels and Aggies fought for the doubles win on the third and final court. Brian Lee and Matthew Campana nearly pulled off the victory, but NMSU collected more points down the stretch to capture the early doubles point.
