SAN FRANCISCO – Men's Tennis took the doubles competition to start the day, but the Dons would take over from there at the Goldman Tennis Center for a 4-2 win over the Gaels.
Saint Mary's beat USF 4-3 back on March 11 to advance to the finals of the Golden State Invitational, after USF won the doubles point.
This time the Gaels won the doubles portion via a pair of 6-2 wins. and defeated Mitch Johnson and Nil Giraldez, while and beat Niloa Kraica and Stevie Gould.
win over Johnson in singles 6-2, 7-6(2) cut it to a 3-2 lead for the Dons after they won three-straight singles matches.
